The Following warranty program covers all pre-owned boats owned and sold by Cataumet Boats Inc.. Any boat sold as a brokerage boat or consignment boat (i.e. not owned by Cataumet Boats) is NOT covered under this program.
The following items are covered by our 100% parts and labor guarantee for 30 days from delivery of the boat. Warranty service is performed at one of Cataumet Boats Inc three locations.
- Engine & drive assembly including: powerhead, carburetor, distributor, manifolds, risers, starter, alternator, fuel pump, flywheel, transmission, bellhousing, gimbal housing, outdrive upper & lower gearcase.
- Engine control unit including shift & throttle cables & steering system.
- Ignition switch, bilge pump, bilge blower, navigational lights & horn.
- Structural integrity of the hull & stringer system.
The following items will be inspected, tested & fully functional on the day of delivery but will NOT carry a guarantee or warranty beyond the delivery day:
- Auxiliary power generator and/or inverter
- Air conditioning & heating systems
- Miscellaneous electrical items such as water pumps, macerator, toilet, windshield wipers,stereo, TV, VCR, lights, anchor windlass, trim tabs, depth finder, radar, VHF, fish finder,autopilot, GPS, spotlight, refrigerator, icemaker, microwave, stove, instruments/gauges, switches, battery charger, shore power, outlets & any other non-propulsion items.
The Following items carry no guarantee of condition or warranty & are sold to you “as is”.
- Exterior upholstery, canvas, bimini top, enclosures, zippers, seats, carpets, drapes, bedding & headliner.
- Hull stripes, gelcoat & fiberglass finish: including chips, scrapes & cracking
- All rails, doors, windows, portholes, hinges, hatches, fittings, outriggers, fishing equipment, platforms, ladders, bow pulpits, anchor rollers & any other non-propulsion items.
Any mechanical issue that is direct result of water in or contamination of the fuel system will not be considered warranty & will not be covered under this program.
